I’m With Harrison

I’m With Harrison is a short documentary that I edited and color graded for Harrison Guy, the first gay & black pride parade Marshall in Houston. The project started out as an assignment given to all advanced editing students by our professor John Fiege. The original assignment was to create a rough cut of the footage professor Fiege had taken while filming a documentary about a young dancer in Texas. When the rough cuts were finished the best of them were sent to Harrison himself and he chose to continue the project with myself. The short then doubled in length and became much more than an average school assignment. The back and forth communication with Harrison & professor Fiege gave me a tremendous amount of experience. This is by far the project I am most thankful for and I am happy to say it was accepted to the Denton Black Film Festival in 2021.
